A Simple Approach
This is a simple approach that emphasizes the information over the labels, and provides a flexible content structure and styling to accommodate the vast array of media and device resolutions it will likely encounter.
It has a visual vocabulary in the form of icons for different sections and areas of interest that also serve as navigational links in a dedicated table of contents. These icons are intended to help viewers understand and locate specific information quickly and easily.
Color is used conservatively and is not the only delivery method of important information in consideration of visual impairments such as color blindness. Color is also used conservatively in consideration of possible printing limitations and reduced fidelity in various transmission methods that may be used such as fax or photocopy.
The information is presented with larger fonts and in high contrast, black on white, also in consideration of visual impairments and to maximize legibility.
Where possible, medical terminology should include plain language translations or links to resources to help readers understand their meaning.
As I'm sure many will echo...I only wish I had more time...
Thank you for your consideration.
