In general when most patients think about their health they think about the different parts of their body that have had medical issues. The "Give it to Me Straight Doc" is built on this premise. The focus is the patients body and highlighting the areas that have had issues. A simple facial expression system (smiley face) has been tied to those issues to identify positive, moderate and negative outcomes or resolutions for those issues. Facial expressions have proven to be universally recognized across cultures. This makes it the perfect for identifying positive and negative on an EMR to a wide range of audiences. This concept carries this system throughout the health history to the most current test results. Finally a general summary of health is provided at the top of the page. This gives patients and caregivers an instant understanding of health status.
