Clarification: IP rights
Just wanted to confirm that the participants in this challenge retain the rights to their concepts, correct? Also, would you unveil all entries or only winners?
Thanks!

Hi Emilia,
We've asked entrants to submit designs under a Creative Commons license. The full details are:
Because of the collaborative and open source nature of this effort, all entries are required to be submitted under a Creative Commons license. This license allows the community to use and adapt the designs while ensuring that the designer receives attribution. More details on the license can be found at http://creativecommons.org.
We will share all the winning entires plus ones that meet a minimum bar. We want to celebrate the works and the designers that created them.
Best,
Ryan

I love the requirement that all entries must be open-sourced. It really adds to the future possibilities of collaboration and helps make sure that what's being created actually gets in the hands of patients and providers.
Two questions:
(1) There are multiple versions of Creative Commons licenses, some prohibiting commercial use, another requiring that those using the work must 'share alike' with others, another prohibiting derivative works -- I don't think some of these restrictions are in the spirit of 'open source.' Is there a requirement as to which specific license, such as the most open one (the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 United States license)?
(2) For entries that have implemented front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), the submission is more like 'software' than a visual or written art and an open source license more conducive to software might be a better option. Is it okay to 'dual-license' the submission under both a Creative Commons license and an open-source software license (like the MIT license) to ensure it's as traditionally open source as it possibly can be?
Thanks!

Hi Tony,
Exactly - that's the spirit of this challenge.
Really good clarification questions.
(1) "This license allows the community to use and adapt the designs while ensuring that the designer receives attribution." --> That should line up to Attribution 3.0.
(2) Yes!
Best,
Ryan
